In January, CoAM - Cooperative Adult Ministry joined TRUST as its newest set of programs. CoAM is a twenty year old non-profit based in south Minneapolis with 30 congregations as members (two – Bethlehem Lutheran and St. Joan of Arc – are also TRUST members).  It has a very similar mission to TRUST except its mission is about older adults only.

CoAM’s programs include:
  • Life Enrichment Sessions:
    Lifelong learning program that is held three times a year on Mondays at Bethel Lutheran Church. See the brochure;

  • Grocery Shopping Transportation:
    Vans and trained drivers are provided to take elderly people or those with disabilities grocery shopping;

  • Health Ministry:
    Provides depression support groups and supports the Minnehaha/Nokomis Grief Support Group;

  • Tours:
    Day tours and several multi-day tours are provided throughout the year.

  • Communicator:

 Our joint vision states that this venture is “a combined interfaith effort to ensure the continuation and growth of needed services to our community, our congregations and to those we serve. By joining, we can achieve greater efficiencies and economies of scale and expand the reach of our programs to new participants and new volunteers who are interested in sharing their talents with our community.”
